Today, while wandering through one of my favorite window-shopping haunts, I stumbled upon something utterly peculiar—something so on-point that it yanked me straight back to an old, half-baked project I’d shelved years ago. The idea? Infusing the entire Marvel Universe with the chaotic, symbiotic essence of Venom. Unfortunately, I never got far beyond a handful of rough sketches. Back then, it felt like fresh territory, a wild “what if” begging to be explored. Little did I know, it was the kind of concept so obvious, it was practically screaming to be realized.

Enter Funko’s Venomized line of mini-figures. Spotting those symbiote-drenched takes on Marvel icons—Thanos with tendrils, Loki oozing black goo, Groot gone feral—hit me like a sonic clap. This is textbook parallel ideation: the kind of idea so crystal-clear and inevitable that it might as well have already existed in some alternate dimension.
