Dedication to my clients and projects

 am compelled to write this article because this is a subject I don’t often see when I speak to other designers within the creative field. This point of view I am about to deconstruct was formulated with my time at 1835 Market Street in Center City Philadelphia. Where I witnessed corporations kept afloat through high level relationships however become stagnated once the contract was in place and everyone walked away from the table. Dealing with various contractors (being one myself)and dealing with groups within groups of diverse individuals, you sometimes encounter turf wars usually enabled by lack of job security.

Then you have me in the storm of IT and design, having multiple conversations at once, taking calls on weeknights and weekends. Popping into offices to offer advice, help, and sometimes doing the actual work and for what reason? Because I have to look at myself in the mirror.

A dedication to your performance and the tangible work it creates is the only way to generate high-end results. If you are thinking to yourself if this is lacking within you then it’s too late because it’s not there. What I do for my clients and partners does not end when the checks are cashed. It ends when I have nothing left in the tank……

Some of the precepts of this philosophy are…………

• Never put yourself in the position of not producing fast work.
• Get your ideas in position to get chosen.
• It is up to you to produce the work.
• Keep accurate files for future reference.

All this has translated to myself working on projects years after they have ended. Adding to them tweaking them, re-engaging clients and project managers well after the fact to show I am always ready to contribute. If the there is a window for future opportunity I am going to find it and exploit it.

At the end of the day because I have to look at myself in the mirror I am dedicated to see all my work through completion regardless of any ones involvement.
