This was painted around 2003-2004 when I lived in NJ and was just getting into a professional design studio business (Sign Pros) where I would be the go-to web development guy. With that as my focus I decided to let go of my professional drawing career (off my work for West End Games and Alias Comics) so I can rapidly learn as much I could as fast I could so that I would become an asses to Sign Pros. I never wanted to draw so maintain that practice I would render on whatever was handy. This time around it was the cardboard insert of some Fancy Feast cat food.
The same at this day I have some cheap acrylic paints on my drawing caddy and thought it would be good practice to try and make good of cheap paints and a completely random surface.
