DARKEST IMAGE – YOUNGBLOOD DRAFT DAY PAGE 1

Deadline day to complete another three pages for the Darkest Image Fanzine. With the completion of the third and final page I decided to finally post the long-overdue completed pages. Whenever I post a comic book page sequence I always debate what’s best. Should I post as the pages are completed and it’s cleared from the publisher, or post everything as a complete story? For now, I will say posting the story complete is best (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it).

I have a long history working on Rob Liefeld characters and when I read the script from Mark Darden I immediately envisioned the color and hues of these pages, not the illustrations or the storytelling but the sunset, the very sunset used as the backdrop from Youngblood #1 published back in 1992. That was a long-standing inspiration for me so much so I feel it in the cells of my body. Well here is the beginning of this long journey for me.
