I’d rather just go to some of the individuals and say, “Look, you know, how just send me your

You like to get in on the book early, check out the creator, follow the stream, see the creation of the product, eventually get the product. But, there’s just not enough of you. And the crazy thing is, right? The the price points for so many of these campaigns is I mean, they’re between $25 and $65 with little like bonuses. They they don’t put enough with the comic to even compensate

uh, what would be like a page count boost, so on and and so forth. So, without enough money in the system, we’re not going to get new books, new creators. Uh, the veterans that we know that again hover around that are not quite at the top of the pyramid, they’re going to be in absolute real trouble. I would say maybe like a year ago where uh, the signs of this the crowdfunding sphere drying up. Now, we have companies like Dynamite heavy heavy into crowdfunding. publisher get their books printed? And by independent, I mean print runs of 50 to 200 copies. Now, some of the the digital printing uh like makes that possible. In the past, I remember with Brenner Printing, they had a a 5K minimum. You would need thousands of dollars just to do one print run for American Comic. Uh you you would pray and do everything you could to boost your Diamond orders just so you could cover the printing and shipping costs. The the shipping costs even for that was was killer back then.

And things have shifted, right? Like we we it’s more boutique, it’s more one-to-one. It’s great, but when the printers dry up, here’s what’s going to happen. They’re going to change their requirements. So, the the one-offs, the 25 print runs, the 100, the price for those are going to go up because they’re dealing with more of a flow in in orders, more in the flow of new clients. There’s a little bit of a consolidation. The bigger orders will take precedent over the entire system. And these things

are easy to change. It’s an algorithm with in their ordering, within their billing. Uh it it is going to be echoed on the calculator on on the website. And then like there there you go. You’re priced out of your own industry, you’re priced out of your own passion. And then a lot of this might go full circle to crappy or less professional or just like less uh you know, like a lot of comic books, right? Like they have to have a feel.
